I think it's the interplay of 1) of course she wouldn't have discussed this with her mother (in that era), 2) the comedic effect of 'yes, yes...NO! YOU IDIOT!' and 3) the funny accent.

His comedy album Ridiculous is really funny. The Origin of The Fantastic 4 is particularly hilarious. Screwed is a very underrated movie. I like it a lot more than Dirty Work.
