Ohh man, I had to stop the video when they were shooting the pepper balls right next to the guy's face and he wasn't even wearing safety glasses. That made me cringe a little too hard. -

I've decided I really don't like pepper balls, obviously they suck, but I think they are harder to use in self-defense compared to just a gun, or a bat. With a gun you'll miss, not shoot, or hit your target, fairly straight forward, and predictable.
Pepper ball on the other hand if you hit your mark or miss, or jam, now you have pepperspray affecting the area, which includes you. You've now potentially just incapacitated yourself.
Just use actual Pepperspray in a can if you want to go this route, it's easy to use and predictable when you use it. Firing balls is not predictable and too much can go wrong.
Your also less likely to treat it as a firearm and be careless.
