Turns out that while I enjoy the inconvenience of old cars and paintguns, I like a watch that just works.
My daily wear watch is a Seiko 5 "Franken-Monster" with a black NATO strap. Been wearing it for years. Every week or so, I have to adjust it like you as well.

Have a couple Citizen Eco-Drives when i want something a little more dressy (all stainless), but the Seiko is whats on my wrist 99% of the time.

Not a bad choice, if you get the smartphone app for a timegrapher you can unscrew the back and regulate it easily to keep better time, videos on how to are on youtube.

Currently a Casio Pro-Trek smartwatch. Have had it for about 4 years now and the battery is holding less and less of a charger. Ordering a Garmin Tactix Delta soon though.

My wife bought me a Shinola Runwell 41mm for our anniversary.

It’s the first wrist watch I’ve worn, but I’ve grown pretty attached to it.
