am I the only one …

… who keeps a paintgun handy for anti-spider duties? my house has cathedral ceilings, and a high skylight also, and everyone else in the house hates spiders

so yeah - it has a wadded up kleenex in the barrel.

No, can’t say I do but this may allow me to buy another paintball gun for my wife…. I also have Velcro balls, which might deal death a little better.

Nope. Not the only one. I keep a Phantom loaded up at all times in the garage after spotting this monster.

The pic doesn't do it justice but it was closing in on 2-1/2 maybe 3" in diameter. It could tell when it had been spotted and would hide too. Smart bugger. It was just too big to allow to live so I hunted it down and took it out with an air blast. Pulling gear tubs off the shelf still creeps me out - I know I'll run into its kin one of these days.

My wife keeps one handy for ravens that dig in our trash cans. If she walks outside without it they just stare her down. She walks out with that in her hand and they are gone in an instant.

I have 2 holes in my siding at the peak of my house outside where I hit a banana spider and bounced off of him before dropping him and putting another 10 in him. Not my best moment but when he hit the ground and made a thud, I knew it was the right thing to do. 😋

I had a PGP with no top tube for this purpose as well. Non ported barrel works great against spiders, bees, any bug really.

I mostly leave spiders alone unless they’re venomous. If I’m able to, i try to catch them & toss them outside. I’m sure they come right back in but unless one is crawling up my leg or on the pillow next to my face i don’t kill them. Talking about keeping one loaded for self defense - back in ‘99 i went to the mall at midnight to pick up 2 Dreamcasts my brother in law & i had preordered. I didn’t have a handgun at the time & was worried about a mostly empty parking lot at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning with no security in a small but often times fairly dangerous city so i took my new m98 with a full hopper & full co2 tank. Odds are i would never have even gotten the chance to use it if someone stuck a gun in my face but it made me feel better at least.
