Venmo Purchase Protection Program?

I just had a popup on Venmo ask me if I wanted to use their Purchase Protection Program.

Have y'all seen this? I tried reading the terms and they look roughly in line with what I think Paypal's terms are, but I'm no expert. Does this change anyone's mind about using Venmo for transactions? Are there notable differences between these terms and Paypals?

It basically allows for transactions as goods and services.
Venmo is owned by paypal and if you use this option it is basically the same as g&s on paypal.

I haven't specifically checked the fees but I believe the rate is similar as well. Someone please respond to confirm if you use this service.
