I'm glad I work from home and the mail usually comes before my wife gets up

I'm not quite on your level. I have to say this is the first time they've left a tray.

I’ll show this to my wife so she knows how good she has it.

                  Lol!
I used to have a weird issue... my mailperson of 10 years or so loved to shoot the shit. She was always looking out for me, and I sure made her work for her money - carrying the packages I shipped. Problem was, I was sending or receiving at least one package every singe day so I'd get sidetracked for 20 minute BS conversations each and every day. I couldn't be honest with her and tell her I didn't want to talk every day because there was too much money on the line

This is where the " yours, mine, and ours" accounting perspective works well for my wife and I it doesn't matter what I have showing up at the house anynore, as long as there isnt a transaction tied to my " ours" account. I can spend as it comes... and I tend to do that.

Trick is to order the odd package for your wife interspersed in all the other loot. Then she too is excited for deliveries.

Maybe she wanted to do more than just deliver your mail?

Ready to deliver the goods? Got a large package for you. Can you accept this oversized mailing tube? Have room for me in that padded envelope of yours?
                          I'll stop now.

We have separate accounts so she doesn't see what I buy til it shows up on our doorstep lol.

But in my case, we have a joint account, that pays our personal accounts. That way the bills are always covered. It never comes down to my terrible spending habits making us short on bills.
