yeah, was a great concept with built in gatekeeping to keep all groups from being able to participate.. this tournament was formed entirely around the flawed concept of "everyone has a STBB in their closet"

those of us who might only have accessibility to a tippmans were told to buy a new gun or not bother..

the rules against Tippmann's were entirely arbitrary, the excuses ranged from "too many ways to cheat" to just finally settling on "I dont want people playing with old rentals"

i will stand by the fact that making a "cheap gun tourney" and then excluding an entire manufacture from being used that neither violates the spirit of tourney or the rules because you have a personal issue with their product is the definition of "gatekeeping"

Yeah, there were lots of Tippys by the actual event date. But regarding cheating... mostly just RT triggers?

well that is a shame for me, now i wish i would have checked back..
as far as the why i assume.. rt, e-frames with selector switches, cyclone feeds.. im not saying that tippmann hasnt made it easy on themselves and the "rules"

Yea, it was eventually revised to any blowbacks, not just stack tubes, due to lack of teams registering. The tournament was Kevin's idea, and Kevin's baby, so he was left with all advertising and ruling and the sort. In short, it was Kevin's tournament, so he didn't need to have excuses to say he wanted it to be an STBB tourney. The rules werent "no Tippmanns", the rules were "stack tube blowbacks only", at first that is

I like this idea how about a Rental gun only tournament. You have 1hr to clean lube fix up your rental marker chosen at random. New detents will be supplied only. No mods, Shank N Bake only.

Field will get there rental markers serviced for free. It will be cheap and fun. Anyone can play for a chance at Glory Fame and Envy
