Yep, this. As to what side of my body my drink is, it simply boils down to where I can comfortably place my drink, which entirely trumps which hand to use.

For drinking, it depends on what I'm doing. Sitting eating dinner, left side (keeps my fork in my right hand, right hand dominant).

Standing at a party, either hand. Favoring left though if food is around to snatch with my right hand.

Standing around shootin-the-breeze, right hand.

Side note about me, I am right hand dominant, but some things I do with my left. For instance, shooting pool, I play lefty. Air guitar, lefty. Most other things are righty though.

I’m a righty and I drink righty. Left hand is for childcare.
