how to cut photo to 20x30 when came as 22x32 photo do not want rip photo

also have another same size and one this size 24.00" x 38.00 need to be cut to 22.00" x 36.00". i want to cut them down down to size without ripping it and make even cut. not sure why they made little bigger in size

Try a paper cutter like they use in crafting, the guilotine-type ones. Have measurement on the board, so easy to cut to whatever size you need.

100% on the long bladed/guilotine type paper cutters. If it’s an older blade or you have lots of sheets to cut at once, make sure to use a slight inward pressure (toward the board) as you push down…they tend to deviate from the line they should cut if you have a dull blade or a lot of sheets to cut at one time. If you don’t apply a little inward pressure, it can leave a ragged, ripped edge.

How do I know? I work in schools and use that crap all the time….works great whenever you need a long, straight cut or a lot of stuff cut at once.

i do not own photo and not sure let me cut it there also nears place to far from me since if took bus be over 1 1/2 one way or hour bike ride on e-bike. if you bring in photo or anything does not prove you own kinkos will not let mess with in there shop they got sued way back late 1990's over fact people making copy's of stuff did not own right to make copys

The correct answer is: a ruler and a #11 design knife, basic tools of the graphic arts for a century. You should already have those.

While giant 3’x3’ paper cutter is nice they aren’t cheap, portable, and very few people have one. They are also extremely unsafe around kids and such.

do not have one will be looking into that. all i have has scissors or Walmart box cutter

If it's going in a frame, you have a little leeway where it will cover the edges. Come in an extra 1/16", mark a line, and follow it with scissors.
If it's not getting framed or you just want it more accurate, make your marks on either side, connect them with a yardstick, trim with a fresh X-acto.
Even a box cutter will work with a fresh blade. Everyone should own a craft knife, though.
If you have a steady hand and it's thick paper, you don't have to cut through it in one pass. Make two or three, just make sure your yardstick doesn't move.

A rotary cutter is best if you can access one, of course. The guillotine-style chop cutters always seem to push things off line for me.

well did not know the art store Michaels was 5.3 miles from me. so went out and got ruler and 2 items to cut photo by hand. here hard part i have bad eye sight and could not keep ruler straight. since do not know where clamps at. when i put into frame could not see where i messed up. also fact we have table that works but will not keep whole thing flat and straight for doing upper and lower part of photo. top of photo and bottom of photo where little bit harder to do. also fact can not see good. and poor lighting did not help me keep rule straight or to see if leaving ruler. if want paper cutter item cost would be close to $300 and had to order from over seas.
