    RIP Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen has died aged 96, Buckingham Palace has announced. The Queen's death ends the longest reign in British history. She was also the world's oldest head of state.

Sad news for our friends up north and across the pond. Queen Elizabeth II has passed away at age 96.

Kinda wondered how close this was when she didn't return to London for the meeting with the new PM. Sad, but seems she lived a good long life.

a long and interesting life. Talk about someone who has seen some things.

I wonder if Prince Charles will take the throne or abdicate.

A coworker told me that he'll take a different royal name since there was a King Charles that was beheaded in the past... kinda ruins that name ya know?

I am in no way a monarchist, but the world feels diminished with her passing. The 2nd Elizabethan era has a lot of fascinating history in it.

I am not a monarchist either...but as a leader, ER lead by example. Sitting alone in a church for her husband's funeral when the country's PM is holding parties comes to mind. RIP.

There’s been good & bad things about her rule. But she did live a distinguished life, however everything in her tenure played out.

I’m just glad I don’t watch regular television. Not a fan of royal coverage. I couldn’t stand this being on 24/7.
