Video games! I've slowed down a ton in the last 2-3 years, but I've been slowly amassing a small collection.

Always awesome to see someone still into physical games. I have quite a few myself. I’m also a fan of playing games on original hardware.

when I built out my basement a couple years ago I made sure to leave space for my consoles as well. I currently hooked an nes, snes, n64, GameCube, wii, and playstations 1 through 5. I have an atari 2600, the mini retro nes, snes and playstation as well.

my digital collection is immense as well, but that's irrelevant. those maniacs in control can delete anything they want for no reason (I'll buy physical as long as it's offered).

SNES (original & mini), N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, PS2, all the Xboxes, and a Switch. I use my PS2 mainly for PS1 games. The Switch is my favorite "current" console, while the GC is probably my favorite console overall. I have a Game Boy Player for it as well. If I had to pick only one console to hold on to that would be it just for the sheer number of games I can play on one setup.

Lots of Game Boys too- wife's old GB, GB Pocket (my first & favorite GB), GBC, GBAs for me & the kids, GBA SP (original battery still good too), DS Lite, 3DS.

Knives, video games on steam I keep lying to myself about playing, and I used to collect decks of cards, I keep an eye out for unique ones for the decks of cards but I already have a LOT of the stuff that's reasonable to acquire.

More realistically, one thing I do collect is older machinist and metalworking books. I can't say I particularly go out of my way- I don't, for example, regularly troll eBay or Amazon for them- and I'm also not buying everything that crosses my path. Bu when something good crops up, either at one of the local used bookstores or online, (and it's not hugely expensive) I'll pick it up.

I have probably about a hundred at this point, with the oldest being a British-printed book on using turret lathes, printed in 1917. (It has a LOT to do with how to set up for turning cannon shells and fuses. )

I also have probably another 20-25 modern ones about CNC and G-code.

And, of course, I also kind of "collect" machine tools. Seven lathes, four mills, four drill presses, five grinders, a bandsaw...

I've an old machinist book here that I've been meaning to get in the post for you. I was holding out last year in the screwball chance I got your name for Secret Santa. Can you PM your mailing address? I can get it on its way to you.

I collect old US currency (and depending on what it is, current currency) - mostly silver coins, notes over $100, star notes, and radar notes, as well as electrical antiquities.

That’s a bad ass setup. I got the Mr Big in Cadillac white. 2.5 bay shop I needed the room for my lathe and mill.

I have interest in collecting lots of different things, but funding is always the limiting factor.

Right now I have a small collection of Nepalese Khukuri knives. I've loved the look of this knife design and it's history since I was a kid, and it's crazy to see the popularity of these knives skyrocket over the past few years thanks to a few survival shows.

I also have a growing collection of 80's water guns, cap guns, and toy guns, the realistic looking ones before everything went to the non-realistic 'super soaker' style. I love this era of my politically incorrect childhood that was soaked in GI Joe/A-Team/Miami Vice action goodness!

My son and I share a large Nerf collection. Lots of project blasters to rewire and upgrade for Lipo power, which is alot of fun. I have an interest in almost anything that fires a projectile, hence paintball, and I like toys in general so it's a good fit.

I would collect vintage Joes, but the market is ridiculous right now, probably at it's peak, and the figures break fairly easily due to age so it's all a big turn off from me entering that world.
I also used to collect diecast WW2 tanks, real collectible ones, but got rid of that collection when things got really tight a few years ago when my wife was in nursing school. I'd love to have a nice collection of those again, along with WW1 and WW2 airplanes.

I collect projects. I started small and the family really enjoyed the fact I can do things. Oops.

I build models, airplanes, tanks, ships, etc... I really enjoy the tedious nature of it all.

I’m a big fan of physical video games & anime titles. I also like playing games on original hardware, especially on the SNES. While my collections are not super huge, I do have some rare titles that I’ve kept in excellent condition since my youth. I’ve slowed down over the past 10 years or so, but I still manage to find a nice & rare game at the local game shop every couple years. My latest find (couple years ago, lol) was an original copy of Chrono Trigger.

Anime has also slowed down for me and, depending on the title, priced even higher than many video games. Haven’t bought a boxed set for maybe 4-5 years.

my little brother was big into squaresoft in the early 90s. I got a hold of his snes games but his super valuable ps1 titles were sold years ago and he didn't offer them to me first.

I collect classic video games as well. I have some pretty cool rarer titles in the collection, but they all get played. No wall queens!!

Jonnydread Yup, mine get played as well. No boxes & missing half the manuals, but they're in excellent shape & still get occasional play time. By bro is the same way. Currently borrowing his copy of Legend of the Mystical Ninja & it's friggin' mint. Haven't seen a copy of that in the wild for myself yet.

Tools, I like having the right tool for the correct job so I buy tools in anticipation of the next project. Just wish I had a bigger shop with my current house when we moved I moved from a 2 story, 2 bay shop to not even a full 1 bay. Many of my tools are still packed away

I used to collect vintage guitar gear but stopped when pricing started getting insane. I still have a bunch of old Fender tube amps from the 60's, an early Alamo Challenger, ADA MP-1, and an original Fender 1966 6G15 tube reverb.

That started me on hobby of designing/building tube preamps/amps. I have cases of NOS tubes in my basement. Mix of radio, TV, and audio tubes.

I inherited a pretty large collection of early jazz albums, lot's of Duke Ellington/RCA recordings.

I'm a slut for BMW motorcycles, but I'm down to 2 now. 2014 R9T and a 1974 R75/6. I really want a 1200GS. I have a collection of BMW specialty tools to rebuild anything I need to on any BMW from around 1960-2000. Lots of Triumph specialty tools too.

Weber charcoal grills is one. I have 3 currently. I bought a new Copper premium kettle 2 years ago, I found a used Weber Performer on Facebook I bought for $100 that I fixed and cleaned up and my buddy gave me a cheap Kettle I used with my Kettlepizza wood fired pizza oven.

I also just started a WWII book collection along with a few Postage Stamp Die-Cast WWII Airplanes.
