i got into car detailing. its something i can do at home and there is immediate gratification.
i told myself id just practice on my beater but the practice turned into a hobby.

somehow ive created and maintain an underground Weber grill racket. ill pick up older Weber grills and completely go through them; ever nut and every bolt. ill fix one up and bring it to the in-laws. ill take theirs, fix it up and bring it to my place. take the one from my place, fix it up, and bring it to the shore house. the one from the shore house gets fixed up and goes to other relatives... it keeps going on and on.

house work keeps me pretty busy too.

I enjoy detailing my truck. During the nicer months I try to wash it once a week as well as go over the interior. Things go sideways during the winter when the hose it shut off so it doesn't freeze but I will go the a self wash every few depending on the weather.

I always get so deep into it. I always tell myself I'm just going to do a quick clean, then an hour later all the seats are out and I'm deep cleaning every inch. It's very satisfying at the end though.

sounds about right. i got a foam cannon to expedite the process.
jokes on me, im now spending twice as much time washing the cars because the actual washing went so much quicker i started loading up on other areas to deep clean. it can be very rewarding seeing the car all nice and clean. and because i actually LIKE doing it, i never get mad when the GPD puts me on a dirt road, or it rains, or the car just gets dirty again.
i also like experimenting with different pray coatings. the ones i like i use on the car. the ones that are just "ok", i use on the boat and tractor. the ones that id never use again i use in the bathroom on the sink and shower.

    I have two:
    1. Scrap wood (complete inability to throw any wood scraps away)
    2. Honey Do list items (no matter how much I knock out the list grows)

LEGO.. im not a hardcore collector where they buy 6 of everything and have an indoor warehouse, I got into it after they released the saturn V a few years back. the general rule of it is
unopened sets will always be worth about what you paid, after its out of production and the leftover sets have been cleared out, the value doubles.
if you've built the set,, then it's worth what you paid (once it hits "no longer available")

I keep an eye out for sets that I think will be popular for the long term once they are out of production,, I also buy sets I wouldn't mind building,, if the mood strikes me.. I do

disney pins definitely keeps me busy when we go to the parks.
Is your hobby going on rides and getting a pin to commemorate the event or do you collect pins from rides.

My rule is one pin per park visit per day, and only for roller coasters I've been on.

My father has a mammoth Disney pin collection and I needed to set myself some ground rules to keep it under control.

              Root beer mugs.
I have a ton of A&W, followed by Dog N' Suds, so I look for the lesser known brands. I picked up a Graff's in Milwaukee most recently.

I've been really into e-bikes. I've built a couple from kits already, and I have my 1500w fat tire. It's a Eunaro Fat HS (which I can't really recommend for most people, the factory components are outdated and crappy.) I've put a few components on it already, but I really want to upgrade the suspension and go to 27.5 x 3" wheels. I just go exploring on it. Not so much on the road, I'd always rather be in the woods. It's pretty overpowered, so I'm always searching for the steepest hillclimbs and challenging terrain. Going downhill is also a workout with the 72lb bike beneath me. Some people consider it cheating, but I get the same workout as anyone on a bike, I can just cover alot more ground in the limited time I get to go out. I also keep the power down until I'm absolutely worn out, saving the battery for bad terrain and hill climbs. I hit a lot of ATV trails, as the mountain bike community doesn't like that my bike is 2x as powerful as a Class 1. Most people don't care, but there's always a Karen somewhere. I'll get a Class 1 eventually, but they are just so expensive.

I'm also learning about building batteries so I can make my own electric pit bike from my old TTR-125 next. I'd love to rip it around the woods out behind the house. I have about 1/4 mile of trails looping around and through the paintball field.

Apparently I now collect expensive hobbies.

Paintball, guitar, vinyl, and now airsoft.

Religious literature from different churches(the free stuff not hymnals and such). The cultier the church/temple/etc. the better. It’s my newest hobby that I picked up after being tricked into going to a service where they spoke in tongues and had convulsions and such. I thought they they were pretty culty but they pale in comparison to some of the others Ive seen since then.

other than that, legos and calories.

past collections bicycles, golf discs, cds, video games, dvds, craft beers, rc cars, drones, guns, concert shirts, third tier cigarette packs with odd names.

Watches, vintage razors (both straights and doubl edge and yes I use them), RC stuff (primarily nitro buggies but I also enjoy electric helicopters) and been getting into building custom keyboards and video game emulation on handhelds lately

                            Victorian era pipe organs.

You might think that would be a hard thing to collect, but open up facebook marketplace, and they are being given away, everywhere.
One of my kids is a professional organist, and years ago, we started collecting old victorian pipe, and reed organs to restore.
At this point, we have over 40 in various states. We stopped grabbing every free one we see because at this rate, there is simple not enough time left in this world for me to restore them all.

These are the ones in my workshop right now, internally all restored, but I have to work on refinishing the wood, which is the part I hate the most. Tedious.
