Otherwise, I have no clue what the heck that's supposed to represent.
Basically an immortal (but not invulnerable) super psionic who's been on life support for 10,000 years after suffering a near fatal attack. The lore for that setting is quite... immense. Much like the pauldrons (greaves are leg armor).
It's a miniatures game. Bigger armor pieces are easier to paint.

All that armor and a small rock to the head could take him out...
At least the Stormtrooper's top-tier ABS plastic armor provides mostly full-coverage. However, the Warhammer dude is in the safest position to avoid getting shot: directly in front of the stormtrooper.“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” -Krishnamurti

40k has better lore without making a dozen mediocre overly worshiped movies to sit through. It takes more brains to be a 40k fan also. 40k fans don’t often pretend there is actual philosophical/religious element to the products they worship. They take the stuff out of the package and use it.
Both scenes are however still some of the most socially retarded anti-human wastrel man-babies I’ve ever met so nobody should feel good about self identifying with either. I’m just saying I can actually see my self playing 40k again in some far flung circumstance. Star Wars is something I’m so sick of I never need to see it again. Ever.
(clearly I’ve spend time and $$$ on both but not recently)

You freaking nerds.
Not really... my only other hobbies outside of paintball are DnD and Heroclix. Lol.
Star Wars is fun and all, until you encounter its fans... like Batman. You can enjoy it all you want, but the fans are intolerable. I should know, I'm one of them. Moreso Batman than The Wars, but Boba is my boy, and eventually I will rock a Bantha skull tattooed forever on my person.
Regardless, though, I am at a point in my life where I have found that it's just not worth it to argue, about anything, ever. I, personally, enjoy Star Wars for the story it is. There are some fun characters that get involved in fun shenanigans. Yay, entertainment! And Star Wars has entertained me.
Is it a good story? No. It's full of holes and dead ends. The stakes aren't that high all things considered. The Jedi are a freaking cult that in no way deserve to be role models. The whole thing is ultimately quite underwhelming when taken into perspective.
The Enterprise (alone) from Star Trek could take out the Empire (in its entirety) in one 30min episode... the Defiant from DS9 could end the Empire before the first advertisement break. Ships without shields? Lasers? How quaint.
I can't speak for Warhammer, but if it's ANYTHING even remotely similar to DnD, then it will obviously have a much better story. There is some real lore involved in the making of a fantasy game. When players are going to have characters interacting with elements of the story, you have to really provide a rich and believable interactive experience. Can't just up the special effects budget and wow the crowd with bright lights and flashing colors.
As for which has the better emperor...? They both sound like ancient dirtbags that should have been usurped ages ago.If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I saw Star Wars the first time as an 8yo boy. I was an X Wing pilot for weeks afterward....
Warhammer 40K was among my favorite game titles up to the Retribution and beyond series.
The above post strikes a chord with me in that, as far as miniatures go, DnD was the only situation in which I ever utilized them. If it were an original part of this conversation I would say it eclipsed the other two by far within my realm of interest.
