Random South Dakota DMV question

This is likely a long shot here, but does anyone happen to know which county(s) in South Dakota will title an out of state vehicle?

I guess it’s done through a treasury office there and only certain counties do it. Unfortunately for me, there’s 20+ counties.

Minnehaha County will for sure, you can call to definitely confirm it is still true, but I used to live in SD and did it there. 605-367-4211.

My understanding was that you could do it at any of the Treasury offices in any county, which city are you looking to do it in?

found one in Pennington County but the woman was a total C- word on the phone.
I finally asked for the price for just title and not registration, as I won’t be going to SD for anything and she said, “Then why even do it? People only get the title here so they can register it.”

I was like, “because CT won’t give a title for a UTV…”
