    What did you find today?

Was it a lost van Gogh? Gold bullion? Maybe just the remote behind the cushions? Post a picture!

I had the metal detector in the yard today, we have only owned this house for 8 months. It's an aluminum can

Someone will recognize it, I drank way too much of it as a teen

I always thought of that stuff as a nastier Mountain Dew

Nastier Mountain Dew is a pretty accurate description (Sun Drop taste better that normal Mountain Dew for what it's worth). I actually had some "recently" (like six years ago), and was surprised how bad it tasted. I have no idea how I drank so much as a kid.
      I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

I should get out my old detector and get some practice. I think the most valuable thing I've found was a friend's old metal sprinkler system ( we were looking for it).

I have found a quarter under the elementary school monkey bars, back when they were accessible. It was so cliche.

That's funny. I have always hated Mountain Dew, but I LOVED Surge as a kid. I mostly hate soda now except for the occasional ginger beer or Moxie.

You're the first person I've found to admit to liking Moxie. I drank it once, just to try it. Didn't hate it, but definitely didn't like it.

Normal Mountain Dew sucks, but flavored Mountain Dew rock. Code Red is amazing, and Voltage is good too.

Today I found people have strong views on Mountain Dew and Surge (never heard of it).

I actually did a Surge commercial for a Marketing class in high school. A friend and I ran towards a finish line, while being shot at with paintball guns by my girlfriend at the time and her brother. My buddy had a broken collar bone, and he took a paintball right on it. He actually still won, flung his mask off, and poured the surge all over his face. Got an A+.

Got the kids metal detector a year or so ago. All they've found are screws and nails, except when the mother-in-law throws a handful of change in the backyard.

Technically not found, but I managed to come across a uranium glass plate in a second hand shop that everyone missed including the owners.
I would post a pic, but it appears to be really hard to take a glowing pic from under my UV torch.

a vinyl copy of Angel of Retribution, which just so happens to be my favorite Judas Priest album. I already own it on CD but to have the vinyl is awesome. I grew up with my dad playing records all the time but only recently started buying new records myself. I'm really enjoying having a small collection of my favorite albums as physical large vinyls something better about them than CD's even. I don't play my vinyls all the time since I don't want to wear them out but usually a few nights a week I'll pull out an album and put it on and let it play from start to finish and just enjoy it

Mice. Heard the scritching in a wall, so I set up a bunch of traps this morning.

We had a Surge machine at the local grocery store when I was a kid. 50 cents for a 20oz bottle. Heck of a deal even back then, lol.

Used to have a mouse in the attic that would scratch directly above our bed at night. After many traps, went with the nuclear option and have a cat now. She is a proficient killer of all things and earned her keep and tummy rubs. (Okay, well maybe she kills a little too much....)

Cats are a big nope in this house, with 3/4 of us being allergic. Which is fine- I don’t want any more pets, lol.
