    Here's a question

World Cup 2022: Budweiser finds alternative idea for beer surplus following alcohol ban (msn.com)
The question would be, if Budweiser donated all that excess beer to the winning teams' Country ~ would they change the labels?
Say if America won, would we see Bud on store shelves printed in Arabic? I don't know about anyone else but seeing that I would buy it as a novelty.

Probably a PR stunt. How would one even distribute that.

I have bought whole bottles of hard liquor in several muslim countries, as well as drinking beer and hard liquor in legal bars in said countries. I have also eaten a whole lot of bacon at the luxury hotels in said countries. They do sell alcohol and pork all year around in most muslim countries, with the proverbial blessing of the authorities.

It stood to reason that FIFA initially was told that the selling of beer would be a non issue, since Quatar was selling - and still is selling - beer at hotels and bars for tourists. Not that I in any way sympathize with neither FIFA nor Quatar, by the way. It is quite obvious from Infantino's quite infantine attempt at justifying Quatar's late minute breech of the agreement, that it came as a surprise to FIFA. Still - gotta justify it for all that sweet cash from Quatar.

You're right, they do sell alcohol, and Muslim are allowed to have alcohol during travel (private planes are loaded with everything you can imagine, but they don't touch it until they are in the air) ... But in the current geopolitical climate and turn toward a more conservative regime, they are putting themselves at risk showing the world they are selling alcohol (and endorsing it) ... they do have some extremely conservative allies who would not "appreciate" ...

Also, this type of PR tend to keep the media focused on trivial/non-issue while they are overlooking the thousands of slaved workers who died building the stadium ... ho, and i forgot to mention said stadium is open, but climate controlled? Yes, they are plumping the AC full blast in an open stadium in the meddle of the desert ...

Ok, rant over, sorry for the digression.

Beer is fermented from grain based starch. Rice fits that metric.

Now, I don't much like Budweiser. If I'm having a beer I would much prefer a Blind Pig.
