    I just wanted a beer

    So this is a first. Guess I'm not having a beer then.

      So what happened is: I went to crack open the beer and of course it just didn't open. I hit it with the backside of my knife (the part that breaks car windows) and it wasn't going down. So I used the knife to pry it up (I really wanted that beer!!!) and this is what I saw.

                      Man, that stinks.

                      How does a can get double canned? I imagine the cans start empty with no lid, then they are filled, the lids are then fitted, and the cans are sealed. Perhaps this can got a second lid.

                          I doubt it is double canned but instead just has two tops crimped onto the can. They got stuck together when mounting and the crimping machine could have cared less and crimped them both on.

                                      Was just double topped. I did cut the can open just to check. The can is super thin. I haven't cut a can open since I was a kid, but the aluminum they use now is not the same, almost tin foil thickness and really easy to cut into. At least this can was.

                                                      The internal pressure is used to add strength. It's some really nice engineering.
