Pokémon cards - where to sell?

Found two old Pokémon decks in some totes of old toys and such my parents dropped off at the house recently. I never played Pokémon so I’m not sure where they came from, but they’re also Japanese variants. Outside of eBay, is there a decent place to sell them? The outer wrappers are opened but never played with, everything inside is still all sealed up. Sets are Brock’s Nivi City Gym and Misty’s Hanada City Gym. eBay has prices all over the place so I wasn’t sure how to price them out. Any help or suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

If they're unopened, they're going to fetch quite a bit I would think. TCGPlayer is thre go-to for price evaluation. As for how to sell them, I traded my old Pokemon cards to Hellion for some Inception stuff. IDK if he still does that though, it was a few years ago.

hmm pokemon for paintball parts sounds dangerous...

so, as someone who kept their box of "I got into it when it first came out" i have a ton of shadowless and 1st editions that i don't even know where to start... and from what limited knowledge i have scrapped up, get those cards protected asap, especially the foils.. the only way to guarantee a value is to have them graded, the grading services got overwhelmed during covid, and im not sure they have recovered yet

and grading is some bullshit sometimes because not only to they grade based on the condition.. they measure the cards "centering" meaning if THEY didn't punch it out of the sheet at precisely the right position, your card grades lower, if they didnt center the foil precisely within in the margins, your card grades lower. if they got a blob of ink somewhere it didn't belong.... you guessed it... lower grade...

alot of times i think if they are ungraded they are worth whatever the lowest gradable value is.. anything else is someone agreeing you that its worth the gamble to get it graded

The outer wrapper to the boxes is torn open, but nothing inside was removed or unwrapped/unbanded. I k ow it won’t fetch as much as brand new, but I just wanted to fair starting point for it. At this point, to have them graded they would have to be opened up further so I feel like they’re at their best where they’re at. As for trades, I’m not really looking anything like that. I’d rather sell them and give the cash to my kids to buy themselves something.

        Thanks!

Looks like you're not sitting on a goldmine unfortunately (Ebay research, not based on any expertise, although I know sports cards well). Keep an eye on what this sealed one goes for and then price accordingly. https://www.ebay.com/itm/26614368268...Bk9SR9T52IHQYQ
