    Hey Doc...

    So.

You've introduced Nikola Tesla into your world. Now you need to address whether or not Tesla is anthropomorphic, or one of your neckless background characters. I'll assume he's worth a characterization, so now I have to ask:

How you gon' incorporate Nikola Tesla into a furry webcomic? What's Tesla's fursona?

Sorry, no plans to add Tesla himself to the strip. I just used him as a gag to add a little backstory to Doc-the-bear's great-grandfather, and a little info on where the big shop and underground facility came from.

Been toying with a "flashback" bit, in sepia tones, but special art takes a lot of extra time, and there's nothing that needs to be shown in flashback, that can't be easier told in simple dialogue.

If I had to show Tesla? No idea. I don't generally do the "fursona" thing, but if I had to pick... well, Tesla was Serbian, and the Eurasian Lynx is Serbia's national animal. Serbia is also home to European badgers, as well as martens, muskrats and grey wolves, so maybe a marten (ferret/weasel) might be a good fit.

I am absolutely not a good enough artist to make a recognizable cameo, though.

Hah. I figured he was just a bit, but hearing him mentioned in a webcomic with anthropomorphic characters got me thinking, and I figured it would be fun to mention.

Of course, now we need to address Edison. I'm thinking elephant, because I like irony.

-That would be funny indeed. You might get a kick out of this battle between Tesla and Edison...

Me, I'm not a fan of comics where every single animal- snakes, birds, bugs- are intelligent. I see my characters more as "people with tails" rather than "animals walking upright". I'd probably make Edison a bulldog or something.
