you where lucky. when i started to play paintball. it was $20 field pay plus $120 dollars for 2,500 rounds but new place where can buy my own paintballs to take S.C. village and would buy 500 rounds and buy 50 ten round tube with paint balls in it or pay for 1/4 price for paintballs people where making $4.25 hr for minimum wages back then. so paintball was expensive to play. and people where using autocockers and automags no pumps semi was all people want to play. i could not afford to go all time like only 2 to 3 times years do cost to play.

I want to say when we went to CPX it was like 15 bucks for park entry and i usually just bought a bag of paintballs for 20 bucks. We did play outlaw ball quite a bit, we would fill all our extra tanks when we went to the park and pick up a case of big ball locally for $40. I did start playing pump(picked up a kingman hammer for $50) to save money most of the time.

I started working in late 1990 bagging groceries at Jitney Jungle & minimum wage was $3.75 i want to say. It was somewhere around there anyway. I usually took home about $75.00/week working after school & weekends. That’s not much but gas was less than $1.00/gallon & cigarettes were less than $2.00/pack.Comment

$5.15.
I started working at $6.50. Not bad for a first job in high school. Eventually made $10.25. Adjusted against minimum, that's a 9% raise over 16 years.
I'm done dealing with retail. Now my current job will fire me if I don't cut people!Comment

I worked in a welding and fabrication shop. Got payed $10 a Hr as a laborer but worked my way up to $15 after I learned how to weld. I have no idea what minimum wage was at the time. I learned several trade skills before I hit legal working age, ran a small business, and hustled cars on the side.Comment

My first summer working I got paid $6.00 an hour off the books. Minimum wage was like 5.75 so I thought I was doing good. A few years later I turned 18 and joined the military, I got a signing bonus $5000.oo (paid out over 5 years) I thought I was loaded!
I spent quite a while playing a ton of paintball and driving around with $4k worth of pb gear in a truck the was worth $2k. Good times.Comment
