    How did you find MCB?

Me, I played in high school a bit from 2002-2004, and then more or less lost it in college with a couple exceptions. When I was getting back into it in 2012ish, I wanted to buy all the cool guns I couldn't afford in high school. Google Automags and Phantoms enough and you're gonna find MCB, so here I am

Yeah, I know, I'm a baby in MCB years

How did you end up here?

Lurchness Monster got me back into the game back in 2013 after a ten year break. That game happened to be attended by a bunch of you guys. The rest is history.

Montneel parts, what else? Of course after the way I showed up I’m lucky to still be here. Just goes to show, even an a-hole who got the whole website pissed at him and banned on day one can become part of this community

This is essentially my history on any web forum. I went from fodder to mod on christianpunks.com back in '04/05 the same way. Basically ,I have to piss off the community and then show that, hey, I'm a decent person with a good heart lol

      Oooh, good topic!

Myself, I played paintball for the first time back in college, but it didn't stick at that point. Then a couple years ago my inlaws got some property and I thought how cool it would be for all of us to play paintball at their place. Bought a bunch of 98Cs and a couple Azodins to get us started, and PBN was the first forum I found. I liked browsing around there for awhile... That is, until I needed to fix my markers. That's when i stumbled on some MCB threads, and saw the craziness that goes on here. I think I sprung for a paid membership within a week of first registering my account.

after buying a 20 euro PMI tag-master and looking how to make it shoot on HPA and avoid roll out ... I found this place ... all in English ...
I didn't speak English at the time so i had to "google translate" each page, a few line at the time to look for things ...

I -love- getting to interact with people outside my whitebread American hometown. And I DO love my home town. Like every American town with a colonial history, we love any connection, however slight, with the Marquis de Lafeyette! Vive la France!

I found MCB on the forum before the one that just got nuked. I bought like a 20+ inch barreled nelson conversion gun at a car swap meet. I was probably like 13 years old. Came here to help identify it. I wish I kept it because I know it had battle grips. I think I sold it for around 100 or 110 dollars.

At least I think thats why I came here.

I was really into the Brass Eagle Owner's Group back in high school, but it was long gone by the time I got out of the Army. So I was looking for a paintball site that didn't $#!+ on cheap markers.
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

The Wally Llama. I played in high school ('91-'95) but then drifted off for a decade or almost two. When we hired a new kid at work who played it struck the spark again. I dug out the ancient gear I had stored away, hit eBay HARD, and eventually got around to looking for parts to repair an old KP3. Wally's creations showed up in a Google image search and I followed the Sirens' song here...

Lurked for a while during my hiatus from ‘09 till January of ‘20 when I decided to get back into paintball. Saw some stuff here I wanted after I bought my dream gun, so I signed up. Wallet has been getting lighter since... Good folks here, it’s comfy.

Haven't had it for years. In all honesty I don't own a single phantom any more. I do however still have my first gun. F4 illustrator GS

In 2018 I trashed all my old paintball gear that had been in storage for 13 years. Couldn’t bear to toss my phantom though. Got curious, google image searched phantoms, and I’ve been stuck here since.

I joined waaaay back in the day, over 15 years ago. I've been playing since '95 and have always kept in tune with the sport. I don't remember if I gravitated over from automags.org or warpig. Followed some members over.

Back in about '98 I became obsessed & got a Nasty Typhoon as my 2nd gun. As a result, I started hanging out on the POG, which at the time had a lot of crossover with Doc's forum & some of the primordial MCB folks. Netsurferdude, Niterocker, Jeb Hoge, RamboPreacher, Shartley, manike, are a few of the names I remember bridging the gap back in the days when It Was Pink. I'm not officially one of the OG's, but I go pretty far back...

I like you in spite of your connection to Netsurferdude...

I like this post because this is a lot of the names I remember most. I mentioned that nelson that I think brought me here, but I also came here as crossover from the palmer owners group at paintmagazine.net which I loved a lot, and then automags.org. My name was "Person" on both of those forums and that is my pbnation name too. Probably from 2001. Another name you didn't mention was Eddie Kampfer lin who I never played with but felt like I did because he posted so much and had a lot of the really desirable fun palmer guns like centerfeed PG based palmer strokers and stuff.

I was just sitting here scratching my head as well. I recall it being in 07 or 08, was probably working one or the other of a cocker or Automag build at the time. Would figure I was directed here by someone at AO.

I "truly found" MCB when I got my first phantom...I had run across MCB through the Phantom Owners Group (PHOG) and StockClassPaintball.com (SCP) since I lurked there before migrating to MCB...however, I was so frequently re-directed to MCB for more info that I eventually just signed up...I think in 2006?

fast forward to now & I've been here for like 14ish years, still wondering where the hell my money went and why I have grown an affinity for brass and kilts.
