    Pin and Sear need help

I am relatively new to automats and have some parts that I want to build into a marker. I have a Lukes Custom rail, Lukes Custom frame, and XMT body. I also have a level 10 x valve. My question is what sear and pin do I need?

It depends on what specific custom rail you have. Luke has made custom rails from several rails, including both styles of sear pins and sear assemblys. For the differences in rails, see the photos attached.

So quite obviously, for an Automag/Minimag classic rail, you would need the AM/MM sear pin and sear assembly, also known as classic sear pin and sear assembly. Thusly, for an RT-rail (or any derivative thereof), you would need the RT/Emag/etc sear pin and the RT/ULE/Emag/etc sear assembly. You can't mix and match.

As shown in the photos, the sear pin for the classic Automag/Minimag rail is a simple drop-in pin, whereas the sear pin for the RT/ULE/etc rail is a threaded pin, going into the rail from the side. It should be pretty obvoious to you what rail you havem regardless of the level of custom milling from Luke.

The valve won't matter regarding the sear pin and sear assembly.

superman (Bearded Works) did a great basic video on Sears for the various Mags:
