Unfortunately I was feeling pretty under the weather on Christmas morning, but all has subsided and I found some time this evening to whip a batch up.



I'm not sure why everyone is so afraid of mayo in an egg-nog based beverage. They share a base ingredient.

This particular recipe is heavily seasoned, and it masks any mayo-like flavours you may be concerned about.

It's nice. The heavy dairy presence does a decent job of dampening the alcohol burn, but doesn't step on the brandy or cognac. I used Kraken spiced rum as it's all I had, but it sat nicely in the mix.

If I was having one drink, I'd be happy to drink this. Probably no more than that. I don't know if it's worth the hassle of dirtying the blender, but if you have it out, why not?
