when your 12g has negative pressure, it's time to relocate.

She was cute. Surely I'm not the only one who hoped she would walk outside in that white shirt after removing her bra?

Kidding! Lowest I've ever personally dealt with was -48F, and it was at least below -40F for something like three weeks.

But I'm by the Inlet, which moderates temps a little. In the Interior, like Fairbanks, -50 to -55 is not unheard of.

So far this year, the coldest I've seen (going by the dash of my truck ) has been 7F. But our low points are usually in January or February.

The thing that gets people in Alaska isn't so much the cold, it's how long it's cold. Proper summer is basically three months- June, July and August. Winter proper is six months (mid-October through mid-April) and the rest may not be proper winter, but it sure as hell ain't summer.

                Doc.

                  -15°F as I type this.

Coming home from a Christmas dinner last night, I had to scrape the inside of my truck windows.

-25°F at the moment. Sitting here typing this while my battery charges because my truck won't start.

... Times like this I wish I hadn't filled my garage with machine tools...

                    Doc.

Oh hell no that’s to dam cold. I had to charge my battery to but that was because the kids left the interior lights on in the wife’s car. It was 45 and overcast today. Perfect hoodie weather in the middle of winter I will take it. That’s good for NY.
