    - Try new fields (currently looking at Hornet's Nest and Action Games, but open to any in the Northeast)
    - Thinking about playing a tournament? Maybe?
    - Buy at least 4 more snipers
    - Actually use my damn GoPro
    - Play more MFOGs to boost my ball size

    - Commit to waking up early and exercising/working out BEFORE I start the day
    - Get an average of 7-8 hours of sleep per night
    - (inspired by redsquirrel ) Chainsaw up all the fallen trees in my yard, stack the wood and set up the swing & hammock that has lived in my garage for years
    - Delve into eco vegetarianism (only eating locally sourced animal products)
    - Do more psychedelically enhanced sunrise hikes
    - Get real weird with it

Action games as in Tewksbury Ma? If so I grew up and lived 10 minutes from the place. Never played there.

        -Finish a few projects
-Try my hand at making something brassy
        - Play more magfed and pump
        - Play rec ball with something that ISN'T my Gmek. I have lots of pretty guns, and the Gmek gets all of my non-magfed attention.

        [Non-Paintball Related]
        -Drop a few pounds
-Keep up with jogging. I'll do great and get up to a pretty easy 6 mile run. But then I'll get into a lull, skip a few weeks, and then I have to train back up to 6.
-Do some 5 and 10k races, for the hell of it.
-Read more. I spent a lot of this year on a video game kick. I only read 4 or 5 books this year. Normally I'm good for one or two a month.

Paintball resolutions are to stop buying paintball stuff, I have acquired and sold so much within the last year. I plan to keep what I have currently though. I just need to make it to the field more.

Tonight actually marks the completion of my current years resolution: to play as much paintball as reasonably possible. Im glad i put the effort in. I had a lot of fun playing with you guys, especially the Rhode Island crew.

Let's see your new years resolutions for 2024. I'll set a reminder to check in on this quarterly until 2025.

                [Paintball Related]
                - Host two Pumpapaloozas. (This is in the works, stay tuned)

I actually did do this. I hosted my Pistols Only event at Xtreme and Open Class "Pump Up The Ridge" at Hogan's.

                - Get our "Super Friends" team off the ground. (A super team consisting of teams that can't pull numbers and/or lone wolves that want to run with a group)

"Super Friends" became "Gentleman Ballers" and thankfully, HeavyC and AtomJaay are doing most of the heavy lifting as far as being a "team" goes. I'm going to count this as a success.

                - Play a few more pump games, Play a few more Big Game/scenarios.
Ehh, I would say about the same amount of pump games, and I def. played less scenario. However, We're already signed up for IoN2025. I don't regret the game load this year, however. F it, success.

                - Try one MagFed game (Anyone who is down to do this, hit me up and let's play as "Totally Clips of the Heart")

                Once again, hard fail.

                - Try a new field for Big Games... (It's always EMR or OXCC)

Maybe next year. Hell, maybe next year I can combine magfed and new field. If OSG/AG would stop hosting big games on the same day as Pumpapalooza, maybe I can make one of theirs!

                - Beat Superman on every paintball deal on MCB.

I've done okay for myself this year.

                Non-Paintball Related
                - More discipline.
                * I could get more specific about gym or MMA or diet.. but it all just comes down to more discipline. I'm up about 10lbs in the last month and while I'm so frickin' sexy, it's probably not healthy. So, I want to put social activities to the back burner and focus on going to the gym, MMA training and walking my dog.

My dog is fatter than ever. I'm fatter than ever. My bank account is fatter than ever, fuck you!
Also, I quit the MMA gym.

                - Buy a second property.

Not only did I not buy a second property, but I sold the first. This feels like it's going to be one step back, for two step forwards, I'm not mad about it. It's a step towards this. I'll call it a success. Selling my house was a huge move.
                - Create more art.

I have not created much. A few things. I've been mildly uninspired. Ill get back to this before the end of the year.

                - Read more. (I don't know what, I'm a terrible reader, but I feel my brain has become mush and I'm hoping collectively doing all of these things, it'll jumpstart my body & brain and I can progress in areas (jits) that I am otherwise struggling to progress in)

                Big Fail thus far.

                - Get some money in that ol' savings account (if it's not being spent to achieve any of the above goals)

Huge success. I sold a freakin' house. Ha.

Godspeed to all of us. I'm going to celebrate posting this by going to grab a Big Mac.
Actually, I could go for a big mac...

We're a couple of week into October already. I think a little bumparoo to help jumpstart all those failures is a good idea. I'll be back in December to remind you of your success or failures.

*Updated my quotes with some progress, but there's still three months to go!

It's only starting to get cool enough (temperature wise) to start playing, but honestly I don't think I'll end up doing this. While there are only 2 that I would need to hit, one got sold to a different owner adn the other is a good hour drive from my parent's house, which is where I'd be spending the night at. Not worth it for a, frankly, not great field to begin with. I plan on playing at BKW, which I hear is awesome. Might happen early next year.
                  - sell my Spine autococker
Made the sale, got it out the door. I'm now down to 1 1/2 guns (the 1/2 being a nowhere near finished project gun), though that will change again in a month or so when I retreive my guns donated to that gun museum you might have seen me post about. I'll be keeping 2, at least in the short term.

                  [Non-Paintball Related]
                  - Fix/sell guitar amp I have in my closet
Didn't fix it, and technically didn't sell it. But I traded it for a guitar that is now my wife's. I just need to swap out the pickups and it'll be good to go.
                  - read more books
Huge fail here. I don't think I've read anything all year.

                    • sell some of the extra stuff i have and clothes that don't fit
i was able to get rid of a few things at SPEW, but i still have a lot of things to sell
                    • get out to go play this year, and all the sub-things that still entails (hydro tank, get mask inserts for glasses, recover from hernia surgery, etc...)
I got out to play this year. got 2 tanks hydrod this year, got my you-zee insert ordered well in time for SPEW, most impactful $120 Ive ever spent in this sport, i was recovered from the surgery in 13 days... davinici robot is amazing
                    • go to a scenario game,, maybe even a bunch of them
SPEW, Supergame oregon, Decay of Nations

                    • keep doing what I've been doing for the last year in regards to all the fitness and diet things..
Still doing all that, 3 days a week to the gym minimum is always the goal
                    • try an remain un-injured as long as possible
                      Done okay on this one..
                    • try to get some actual good pictures taken of me
yes and no.. got some, but need more
                    • keep traveling
this one is easy as long as I stay married
                    • keep on with trying to enjoy my unexpected early retirement,
                    • keep on making my head a better space to spend time in
some days are better than others, but sometimes there's moments that make it worth it

1 Play more paintball! Hit the field 3 times this year, want to beat that.

2 Take my nephews paintballing for the first time.

3 Sell off extra gear and a few markers to make room for new purchases.

                      4 Buy barrel kit/cocker adaptor for N3.

5 Get a way to carry mags in the field and play magfed.
                      1) I think I played more than 3 times this year?! Or at least 3 times. Sandwiched some injuries that limited playing (toe at start of year, ankle to knee in August)
                      2) Got one out, he liked it until he was shot! Going to wait a year or two. Got a good family group out once this summer.
                      3) Yes, and bought my first new marker in close to 20 years, a Meteor Pump. But also still have WAY too much crap.
                      4) Yes, along with an N4, and then sold the N3....
5)Yes, just bought a mag pouch on Amazon last night! By the nick of time.

Looks like I was largely successful!

Definitely played less, am in worse shape (shoulder injury last month) and up/down in the mental department, but got my divorce finally done and over with, so I guess there's a plus side?

Here's hoping for a better year next year. 🥲
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

                      1. Make it to a couple events this year, namely the STL spring pump event that’s in driving distance and a Slims event that I’ll fly to
                      2. Spend less money on paintball than I did last year 😬
                      3. Spend more money actually playing
                      4. Get every marker I own working (think there’s 3 down rn)
                      5. Start making custom wood grips
                      Non-paintball:
                      1. Lose weight and get in shape. I’m +50lbs and have had 3 injuries in the past few years that I’d attribute to the weight gain. Like Riot, it’s really just all around discipline that I need to work on. I eat waaaay too much.
                      2. Clean up my backyard
                      3. Go canoeing/camping a few times
                      4. Take my kids to Disney
                      5. This one's #1, but continue working to be a better father/husband
                      Paintball:
                      1. Made it to a couple events and met a lot of great people. Didn’t get to a Slims event unfortunately, but still hoping to this year or next.
                      2. Did spend way less on gear and even sold a CCM a few days ago so I’m way in the positive for paintball this year and happy with what I’ve got.
                      3. Besides driving to a couple events, hit up the local field about 4 times this year which is huge for me.
                      4. Didn’t get em all going, but think I’ve only got one cocker down right now. Progress.
                      5. Didn’t even almost start on any grips but still think about it regularly. In a much better place going into next year to make this happen.
                      Non-paintball:
                      1. I’m not down that much weight just yet, but I have been working out regularly for about 2 months now and feel way better. Forming better habits around eating and nutrition and have goals set for next year.
                      2. Backyard still needs work but demo’d an old shed and hauled off that and an old playset. Tornado was quite a set back and had to dump money into fence repair instead of other projects I had planned for back there.
                      3. Went floating once and camping 3 times. That’s a win in my book.
                      4. Disney got pushed and is on the books for 2025.
                      5. I’ve been putting in the most work here and it’s really paid off. Self reflection/improvement never really ends.
Overall just in such a better place than last year all around. Looking forward to the next one.
