About 5 years ago, all my gear got stolen except two jerseys and a pair of pants, and I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm still not over it. I had just completed my setup like 3 months before that too, and only got to play with it twice. The people I played with moved away around the same time, so I didn't buy new gear and haven't played since. Recently joined a band, though, and one of the dudes wants to play this summer, so it looks like it's time to get back into it.

Thanks guys. As you can probably tell, I'm new here. Is there any way to find more people to play with?

I'm terrible at talking to random people. I'm too shy to even yell positions on the field unless someone else on my team yelled first. You're absolutely right though.
-
Thatโs part of it tho stepping outside your comfort zone. Itโs a great way of meeting people. Break the ice with a question about there gear. People love talking about there gear.

Man thats got to hurt. Let the nostalgia take hold and rebuild. You'll still love it.Velcor will save us...

Definitely. Gonna start looking for an autococker to replace my Prostock. Unfortunately, when I bought mine, it was like $120. Doesn't seem like i'll get that lucky this time around. Then I have to decide between getting another egg or going with a revvy,

Since smart parts has rebranded so you can shoot shockers and stuff without becoming a walking advert for that scummy business. While yes the name shocker is still used by sp you can just explain that your old one is different from the current stuff since the current stuff has off brand gama cores inside or if its an older one like an rsx its a fancy ion

I'll probably always avoid DLX and GOG cuz I can't get the Smart Parts relationship outta my brain. Do the Gardner's even have anything to do with either of them? Either way Planet Eclipse rules, so if was buying new, that'd be where I looked first. Maybe one day I'll get a Dynasty shocker though.

Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
I use Tapatalk which does NOT display comments. If you want me to see it, make it a post not a comment.

Sucks about the gear.
The good news is, the last few Prostocks Iโve seen sell have been under $200. So, while rebuying sucks, at least you shouldnโt have to spend an arm and a leg.
Iโd also recommend posting a WTB here. Lots of good guys on the forums will probably help you find a good deal.
howd ya find our little slice of the internet anyways?
Welcome to the fold.

I was living in my van in LA at the time, but was visiting my family back in Ohio, so my van was parked in an LAX parking lot. Flew back from Ohio, opened my van, and half my stuff was gone. My paintball gear hurt the most though, cuz like I said, I had barely gotten to use most of it.
-
Well this restores my faith in paintballers as it didnโt happen at a field. Still stinks ,all one can do is build back better.

Yeah, that sucks. Welcome back. Check out the Local Games forums and look for something nearby. We have people all over the country; I don't think we have too much of a presence in Ohio, but if you travel east a bit, there's definitely some members around Pittsburgh. Pretty much any posted game, you can chime in and invite yourself. Our kind are generally pretty odd, so don't be shy, and I'm sure you'll fit right in. This should get you started. These are all within a reasonable driving distance from Carrollton, OH. I have no idea what type of facility's they are but I'm sure with a lil research you can find one right for you. Post up in the regional section about your experience if you try one, and maybe find some members to play with at the same time.

Looks like there are a decent number of fields in your area. Intense PB looks like it's an indoor-outdoor facility with Xball and a big pipe filed. It looks Prity cool and only about 45 min from you. TPA looks good to they got a big town field old school woods fields and they do scenarios to looks like some cool elevation changes. TPA I bet is a great place to play> https://tpapaintball.com/gallery. Dimension Paintball looks like your local airball place if you're looking to sling paint. Slauterhouse looks on the smaller side, but they have a mag fed following if you are into that but might not be worth the 93min ride playing regularly. I would do TPA ($70 a case, and they offer a season pass for $75 that covers entry for the year and $10 off a case) that would pay for it self if you play 2x a year there.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 02-11-2024, 06:14 PM.

TPA is rad, or at least it was last time I played there like 6 years ago. Intense is cool, but I wish the lighting inside was better. I've never gotten to play their outdoor field. Everyone, come to Ohio and let's try the rest of these fields.
