    What is this heresy?

Spotted at the grocery store. Does Maryland law require me to burn the place down now?

Here's what somebody on Reddit says:
Old Bay is a brand of Chesapeake Bay seasoning, they aren't just similar. Also, many other brands (and especially the house blend of a crabber) tend to be better than Old Bay. Old Bay is accessible and great though. My mom is just allergic to something in it that isn't in other brands.

Other than that, Cape Cod seasoning is basically the same as Chesapeake Bay seasoning. The differences between brands of Chesapeake Bay seasoning are likely about the same as the differences between Old Bay and your chosen Cape Cod seasoning. More or less paprika, different salt, maybe celery seed in this and celery salt in that. Maybe somebody adds only white pepper.

      However, I also claim hearsay.

Hell yeah man A1 is delicious. I may not put it on a $60 steak, but I sure as shit will put it on a $10 steak. It's great on hamburgers too, and eggs!

Ahh. The world of advertising and copy right infringement. The fight between Pasta and Noodles. Dare I mention Buffaloe wings? Only skinny people worry about these things. Some of us have a wider view of these matters, as evidenced in our wider profiles.

As a person that knows hush puppies are the only good sea food, what’s the fuss about?

Hahaha I love this. And I agree. I love Old Bay seasoning but I don't like sea food, at least not the kind that would have that seasoning added. Hush puppies for life though.

my two favorite condiments are Old Bay and Sriracha. and both are the products of refugees who came to the US, and integrated nautical themes into their names . . . in the case of Old Bay, the product is named after a packet ship company that sailed in the Chesapeake, and in the case of Sriracha the company name of Huy Fong was taken from the boat that the guy came over on.

When I worked out Hunt Valley I was surrounded by McCormick Spices operation out there - it is substantial - and there were days you'd walk outside and all you could smell on the air was Old Bay. which was a pleasant alternative to the nearby landfill that sometimes reeked a bit

What a highly appropriate parallel for eating anything harvested from the Chesapeake Bay

This can't possibly be a real nestle product...right? Surely this is some sort of sick joke.
