after 18 years it's time.... for a new wallet.

    Its time, Gents.

The old Columbia TriFold canvas wallet has had the radish. Shes got stuff poking out from the corners and things are starting to slide out every time I open it.

I prefer a tri-fold and I would rather it be canvas.

What do all the homies recommend? what are your experiences? It's been 18 years with this one so I'm looking for similar performance.

This is what I moved to after moving from a back pocket folding wallets to front pocket magnetic money clip style wallets. I got rid of every card I don't need regularly.

Any idea where I could find one of these in person? Or something like it?

Here is their webpage - https://mountainvoyageco.com/collections/wallets I don't see a "where to buy" selection or page. I got it through Amazon but they also have their own on-line store it looks like. If you have someone local how sells Ridge wallets these are real similar if not a direct knock off.

I've got a Coach brand leather wallet I have been using for nearly 2 decades and it has many years of life left in it. it is boringly efficient and classical at the same time

This sounds like a great wallet.

Following as I'm in a similar boat. I've had this wallet since the summer of 1997. I got it right after basic training. I'd like the same thing again.

Oddly enough I bought mine after losing my half of the ass on my BDU's (pocket included) on a tree top just off the side of Sicily DZ at Fort Bragg.

My Mossimo wallet lasted about 32 years, retired it last year. Got the same one of ebay, so I should basically be set for life. Highly recommend if you can find one.

I have a Mossimo watch I’ve been wearing for over 20 years, with only a few battery changes, and it’s still kicking pretty strong. I also get more compliments on that one than I do my nicer Citizen watches, but it’s been a tank since high school.

I recently (last couple of years) went from a tri-fold to a compact simple one elastic cash bands on the outside. I appreciate how small it is, but capacity wise it's a bit of a pain in the ass. It did help me simplify a bit, which I appreciate.

I thought I had included the pics with my first reply - maybe the meeting I was slacking off in took up too much of my attention . . . here is what 18.5yrs of use looks like on my old wallet

Seems there is only one option:

Get your bad mother fucker wallet today. The official wallet as seen in Pulp Fiction. Make sure everyone knows that you are one bad mother fucker by your choice of wallet.

I switched to a Ridge last year and love mine too. I carried a Fossil leather wallet forever and it was still in great shape, but I wanted to minimize and it definitely helps with that. Rock solid!

It just seems silly to me to spend so much it's gonna be empty all month.

To be fair, my $16 Amazon specials (current model says "Hammer Anvil"?) never hold up past a few years. If I make it to 100, a $600 wallet would break even.

I got one from Grip6 a couple years ago, and it is still going strong. I would recommend you add the Leather Jacket.....

How about a carbon fiber wallet?

I've had a common fibers wallet for the past 12? They have held up really well. I've actually had 2, the first one had a few stitches come loose inside, it was still fully functional but I talked to them about it and they sent out a warranty replacement. I think that was like 3 years in so my current one has about 9 years in it right now. No stitching issues at all

Browse an array of US-made carbon fiber wallets including bifold, business card cases, and ultra slim styles from CommonFibers.com. Shop today.

They have a patent on the hinge, it's all carbon fiber as well so there's no separate components to become detached

It might be worth shooting them a message to see if they have any tri fold wallets left. I have one so not sure if they are just out of stock or they stopped making them. Really tough wallets, my current one put a hole in a pair of Carhartt jeans when I took a 6 for fall into a trailer deck. All my cards inside were fine
