This thread made me smile instantly when I came across it. Thanks for this!

Ive been playing for almost 30 years now and have always looked forward to the day my son could hit the field with me. He’s held my markers and shot with me in the backyard since he was little and just got out for his first two games this year since he turned 10. He’s definitely got the paintball bug like his dad! Had a blast both times out and we have plans to hit the field at least once a month for some father/son time.

(For some reason when you get a marker in his hands his face reverts to “Blue Steel” from Zoolander)

I couldn't wait for my son to be old enough to join me on the field. When he turned 9 I decided it was time. These are some pics from his first game - Stocktoberfest 2018. In the first game we got matching hits on our hands - which was kinda cool. Sadly, he hasn't embraced the game like I hoped he would and is far more into other sports now. Oh well, I tried.

I'm so happy I found this thread. I just took my son (14 yrs old) out paintballing this past weekend for the first time! He'd played .50 cal. four years ago for a friend's birthday, but was turned off by all the hits... THIS weekend however, he scored his first 2 eliminations and suffered his first experience with overshooting (took it in stride). It was smiles and fist bumps all day long! I promise to take pictures next time!

Next Up...Getting my daughter (11 yrs old) out to play too!

Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

I get my dad out to play as much as I can. Got him hooked with a etrigger A-5 but he’s just recently seen the stock class light. (Stockstravaganza 25’)

This is awesome, its clear he takes advice, keeping tight, elbow tucked. The future of the sport right here. Love it.

They take directions pretty good. Really trying to break bad habits early on. They pick things up so quickly and they seem to enjoy it. They really liked the pump games, and everyone there was super cool with them. Gave them a chance to really get in it. Both got some well earned eliminations they were super proud of. The field awareness will come with experience. I been really focusing on proper form, body position, and snap shooting technique. Still honing there setups so they can properly get them up to there eye to aim has been super helpful.
                Working...
