    Ninja 45/45 Tank Availability

So, I've been looking around for a Ninja 45/45 and noticed everywhere I checked seemed to be out of stock. I messaged them last night and just got the following response:

"We wouldn’t say they are discontinued, but we just haven’t had a big demand for the 45ci for us to order a lot of 190pcs. At this time, we don’t know when they will be back on the market."

Figured I'd pass the info along. I've only ever really used 68/45's for semi and 17/3k's for my Phantoms, but always thought the 68's felt "chunky". Wanted to try a 45 for the build I'm slowly chipping away at, but I might have to wait to go the used route.

    How about a 36/4500?

The current 68/45 really are not that much bigger then an older 45/45. That is why I have been migrating to 68/45 as my 45/45 bottles age out.

And that's what I figured. I haven't kept up with all the changes in tank sizes/technology as of late, but always have the old 68 to fall back on worst case. I don't think I'll be ready to purchase until I'm done with my build and can actually try some tanks out, so we'll see.

Look at the JT or HK Air tanks. The 68 is smaller than the traditional 68 and not a lot bigger than a 45. Here's my HK next to my standard 68. As someone who always ran 45 or 50's I really like the 68 tanks.

This is a bummer, as in Canada you don't need to hydro anything under 62cu inches every 5 year. You still have a 15 year lifespan. So I gravitated to the 48 size so I don't have to deal with the hassle of hydro. I also don't have long monkey arms, more like a t-rex, so the tank size is comfortable for me.

i recently picked up an out of hydro SL2 45/45 bottle and corrected that with a new long ninja reg
it's about the same length and doesn't "feel" drastically bigger than my 17.5/3k

This is what I've been wanting to do, long reg on a SL2 45, but been sticking to long reg with 17/4500 for the length

Wish something like a 36 or 45ci bottle existed that was the same length as a 17ci bottle. I prefer (need) long tank due to my mega long arms, the 17/45 with long body reg is excellent but sometimes I think I might want more air capacity. I like a 77ci plus long reg for a semi+auto but on a pump, overkill.

I've also been wanting to grab an SL2 45 and see how it feels with a long reg

Reverse drops are awkward. But I'm going to need to try an SL2 45 with the long regulator + reg extender

            That’s definitely a 17ci

This all got me thinking and I was able to find an SL2 45 bottle thankfully with no reg and a 2023 rehydro.

How much paint do you usually shoot?

I love my 2” round 4.5k FS tanks. I have a 45/45 but haven’t touched it since I got the 2” round tanks. The longer more narrow tanks make a massive difference in my ability to play tighter. You can tuck your elbow in under the tank so much tighter with the 2” round tanks. I run my 17ci on my Emek with a JoLo and a 50 round pod setup. It’s a ton of fun to shoot phantom lightweight with the ability to rip ropes of paint if needed. I set my wife’s semi setup the same way with a 13ci super simple ultra reliable and zero battery’s. Slings plenty of paint for my play style for pump or small cap semi setups. Unless you got stuff that are big gas’s hogs look into the 17ci FS tanks. I run a powerhouse reg on mine hit a lil more length and reliability since the FS regs kind of suck. You can get just the bottles to.

I got a SL 45/45 I don’t use. Likely due for its first hydro if you really want one and can’t find one. I would let it go reasonably.
