When my company used adp it never asked for permissions, that seems odd.

Do what I do. Create another account and use it just for crap like this. Sure you can have access to NOTHING as I have not done anything with this account.

Unless you’re using Google Drive as part of the job, in which case, yeah, make a new account, there is no reason any legit business would ask this of an employee.

No reputable employer I know of has the right or the need for that level of personal info. (And I work in a job that does routine background checks and updates).

Neither did my previous job. It was on the adp app and was for checking my earnings and requesting time off.

Can you disable the permission? I think it may be used as a way to send/receive/view certain documents. I still wouldn’t do it and I would use a burner email. Tutanota, Proton and a few more have free anonymous email solutions.

If this sort of thing is in fact required for some reason it’s probably a good idea to, of course, have a work Google account, but also keep a separate user account on your computer or commit one browser to work or something like that. This way you’ll avoid being logged into the wrong account at the wrong time. This is a trick I developed for e kindergarten 2020. If I’m logged in as the kid then everything is his, all the documents and settings are his, etc. Then for my account I can keep all my stuff 24/7 logged in to pervert hellscapes like MCB. Electricity and water...

I applied to many jobs (some i got) before I thought it was a good idea to change it. My name came up as MyPoopComesFromMyButt. Lol. Went to see a truck on craigslist once and the owner loved the name XD
