Is it significant that it's hummer tires? What type of long-term effects does this have on a body?

      kind of the point.
nobody would care if it were 8 geo metro tires... lol

but yeah, they could have just used the same amount of weight with metal plates. its hard to understand just how heavy a military hummer tire is.

I watched this and kept waiting for their legs to blow out. How much drug testing is in this sport?

Kinda the point of strongman training... build everything up equally so everything supports everything else.

There is a limit to the human body, though... and these guys tend to tear stuff once they hit that limit.

that take none. that eat so much protein and spinach and other item. pretty much all protein diet and some vegies and oatmeal. the eat like over 15,000 calories day a 25 lb bag rice does not last long since eat about 6 cups a day also drink a lot of protein shakes too.

the guy doing talk on mic that is 4 times world strongest man. never thought sport would get to this level. when he saw eddie hall do half ton dead lift he was in shock. they lift like 2 time weight they did back in day. got to point to make harder on people since some weight or challenges to easy so had to up the game on it. when challenge gets to easy they change it out or make harder for them to lift.

Plenty of spinal and joint problems later in life.

            Impressive feat, nonetheless.

The thing is, I was big into powerlifting for a while. There was this is one guy in currently his 70's who used to compete. Not at this level, but still put his whole into it. In his 70's, he said yeah, his joints were chronically screwed, but he could still deadlift over 400. Not a lot of folks that age can do that, and even if folks that age DIDN'T lift and lead a "normal" life, they're STILL often suffering from chronic pains. This guy said he'd rather hurt and stay strong than hurt and just fall apart. I kinda support that, even though it's anecdotal.

Brian Shaw is a different level, though. I too am curious about the long term effects on these superbeast types...
