    what to watch

Just had shoulder operation (torn rotator cuff), and with that said i'm going to be laid up for quite a bit. What are some Movies / Shows/ Series that are must watch? I barely watch tv since i'm always on the move and out and about. it can be anything from old school stuff to today's stuff. Post up , thx

I enjoyed Silo on Apple TV along with Foundation. Murderbot is showing promise. Ghosts is great, either the US or UK version.
Binged watched all 7 seasons of mad men recently. Wished I saw it when it came out.
Marathon session of the Lord of the rings extended cut trilogy?

Something that caught us by surprise was HBO’s The White Lotus. The third season just concluded a few weeks ago. It’s really good.

I would also recommend Gomorrah its an Italian series based on the Naples’ criminal underworld. It’s really gritty and hyper realistic. It had the highest ratings in Europe alongside Game of Thrones a few years back.

And if you’re in the mood for fantasy drama: Game of Thrones. Still the GOAT series.

if you want true crime: True Detective season 1.

Movies: If you want gritty action, check out Dragged Across Concrete with Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn.

or Bone Tomahawk (western horror) both are by the same director.

sci fi horror: both the new Predator: Prey and the Alien: Romulus are worth a watch. I think both of those are on Hulu

Strong disagree with GoT because the writing falls off a cliff after they pass the books in about the 5th season. That being said those first 5 are really good TV so watcher beware I suppose.

Also, animation-wise: X-Men 97 on Hulu/Disney. And the Beavis and the Butt-Head reboot on Paramount. Both are great.

Any genres, shows, or movies you do like? Just to help with direction. Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Band of Brothers, and Shogun (newest series) Those are a few off the top of my head. I've also heard everyone raving about Mobland the new Guy Ritchie series if you're a fan of his stuff like Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels and Snatch. I'd lean TV over movies if you've got time to kill.

I wish you a speedy recovery! I've torn my rotator cuff and had to rehab it before but thankfully no surgery. Hopefully you're already on the mend

Dark on Netflix is one of my favorite series if you’re into something mind bending. Watch it in the original German with subtitles.

Mobland. Tom Hardy at his best
Landman. Billy Bob Thornton is amazing
              Fargo the series
Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

If you haven't seen True Detective, season 1 it is terrific.
I was pleasantly surprised by Evil on Netflix. Season 2 is quite good, it really becomes itself rather than a formulaic tv investigation show.

                  TV show wise:
Westworld on HBO... Season 1 was great, Season 2 felt pretty good. Season 3 and 4... I don't hate.
I've only done season 1, but Severance is fun.
                  South Park - still funny
Bob's Burgers - Often this is something I watch when I want to tune out, there's 2 or 3 early seasons that are oppressively predictable but some episodes are very endearing.
King of the Hill - Still funny to re-watch

                  Subtitles
Porco Rosso is one of my favorites anime movie... Probably

For TV show, Trigun Is an old classic I enjoy. The newer Berserk remakes are fun.

Another incredible movie sub'd is Ung Bok

Korean film wise, The host, Oldboy and snow piercer are great... Though you may have one or two "WTF!?!?" moments. The less you know going into those the better.
I don't watch enough Korean TV, but Squid Game is decent, if not a little jarring in the middle.

                  Movies:
If you like horror, the Evil Dead stuff with Bruce Campbell is all great.
Ronin is a fun flick if you never saw it
I have kids so I don't see a lot of recent films, but Mikey17 was decent.
