My mom was living about 10 miles from the last flow in 2018. After seeing lots of friends lose their homes she sold hers and moved bach here to California.
She told me there is tons of small earthquakes associated with all the lava moving around.
I would guess the same thing is happening again for all the residents.

I remember being a kid and watching lava flow from that volcano into the ocean. It was an amazing show! Hopefully it's not as bad as the 2018 eruption.
