An Artist and a kid

I have a daughter that doesn't always fit in the pigeon hole if you know what I mean. For example there was a phase she was in, where she would ask me to draw a monocle and moustache on here daily. During this phase we did a little photo shoot.

Fast forward a few years later and a friend has done an absolutely mind boggling painting of her. 36" x 60" IIRC

Oh wow! That's amazing. I really wish I could paint like that, but all the people's faces I would try would come out like a Picasso or something.

That's honestly incredible. I have great respect for anyone who's able to both paint realistically, and create an abstraction that captures a moment or sentiment. Usually you only get one or the other.
