It was bound to happen eventually. Scammers gonna scam. Just stay vigilant and any sign of sketchy gets g&s only or no deal. I have backed out of a few (on FB) for exactly that reason
I'm not sure who runs this server, or the architecture, or if it's even worth it; but almost all web servers log IP addresses of everyone that hits the site which can usually be traced... or blocked. I'm sure there are others more or equally qualified but if you need some help feel free to hit me up. I work for a software company and I'm on servers every day as well host my own servers
I figured you guys did. And yea i am sure they use VPN's but that doesn't mean they still can't be traced. It's definitely difficult but not impossible. I wasn't sure how serious the threat was. If it's just simple scammers and all it takes is a great community defense and an application ban, then yea no need to up the defcon. i'm the type of guy that always respond to scammer texts and phone calls to the point they block me. What can i say, free entertainment

I pretty much would never buy anything from anyone I don’t see regularly interacting on here
Yeea, a "good" scammer will put in the extra work to make themselves fit in to look normal and legit, aka Social Engineering. And they've been getting better over the years. We see it often with hackers and scammers.
ha fair. I met several people at ION this year and was inited to this group. I'm here for the paintball, not the scammers or drama. i guess i'll just sit down and stfu

I’ve been putting in the extra work for years. I’m so nefarious I even offer to cook dinner for people at games to really earn their trust. I’m almost ready to start my major scam.
