    Old gun concepts

Back in the day I got quite excited about designing paintball guns. There seemed to be a hole in the market for limited paint non-milsim stuff, so, I had some fun with photoshop. Recent discussions about pistols etc. made me remember some of this stuff.

I came with with a brand "hNKL" - Henkel is a family name. Inspired in some cases by sport shooting pistols. Wanted that elite euro precision instruments kinda vibe.

Some of these are pure style. Some are an attempt to get the scale and layout about right. There are some definite ergonomic and practicality problems with a few of these too (don't poke your eye out...) but the basic ideas, generally I still really like and wish something like them existed. Especially the first one. Again, packaging problems - there's probably not quite enough room in there for the air lines and workings of the marker. But something like it could probably be 3D printed to go around the guts of a TPX, assuming you could figure the ASA out and get some AC threads.

Threw in the pump ego because... well, that's what I was drawing 20 years ago.

At the time there were no small CF tanks so this seemed like a fantasy, but nowadays it would be feasible.

    Anyways...

Why do they remind me of a 1985 Nintendo Zapper?

Good spotting - that was exactly the inspiration for some of these. Those 22s just look so cool, like the morini or feinwerkbau ones: https://www.feinwerkbau.de/en/produc...stols/fwb-p-8x hngngngng the version with the multicolored grip, so nice

Those first few look inspired by the brass eagle guns that were translucent plastic. that Walmart had.

this concept art is so cool. I love the style and your designs. Even more impressive is that you do this all while being upside down!
