Why can’t I post pictures?!?

I have tried uploading. Apparently I’m over my limit of ONE Megabite?!

ive tried linking a URL hosted pic from imgur like the old site. Apparently this goes against my upload total memory too?!

ive tried embedding it using the little clicky button thingy.

i only have a phone. No computer at my disposal. I couldn’t even remember my password to log in to another device if my life depended on it.

I can’t delete my old photos from my album to make more room. I’ve tried.

the best I can do is post links. Why can’t they just show up in the darn post?!

I just want to upload photos? What’s the deal?!?

Im in the same boat. Been using my google drive to get by, but its not gonna last forever. I dont think the mods can rexreate the issue so they dont know whats causing it.

My god I’ve been f-ing with trying to make ONE post for three hours. It’s kind of important to show all three photos I want to embed simultaneously in order to help people better. Best I can do is a link that the person has to physically click on, and then they only get one example at a time.

I give up. What a waste of time.

Ive been making folders on my drive, then sharing said folder , qnd posting that link.

Yeah someone has to click the link, but they sh9uld be into a gallery at that point.

The only way I have been able to get it to work is post the pic on another free image hosting site like this one:

https://imgbb.com/

Then, on the MCB add image, point to to the link of your image and be sure to UNSELECT "Retrieve local file and upload"

If a mod can just actually SAY that I have to “pay to play” and turn my name green in order to fix this problem, I’ll do it. But nobody has confirmed that green names suddenly don’t have this problem anymore.

others have suggested it. I just need some confirmation before I waste money.

im still a little salty about me paying for a membership 3 days before the site get hacked, paying again after it’s up again, and still having a blue name. I’m only going to do so AGAIN if I can be assured that at least THIS problem goes away.

I don’t know if this will help but I email myself the photo I took on my iPhone and choose the smallest image size possible on it. Then on my iPad logged into my email I download it and save it on the iPads camera roll. Then I can post them using the iPad. I haven’t tried more then one at a time though. I just repost again with another photo.

I’m a total newb but that’s what I did. Never posted photos pre hack because it seemed like a chore, I actually find it easier now.

I just went through all the vbulletin settings and there is, in essence, no limit on image file size but the display limit is 4000 x 4000 pixels which is pretty damn big. I haven't tried uploading or posting images from my phone/iPad but on Win10 on a PC I can't replicate the problem. That's not to say that I don't believe you guys. If anyone with image posting issues can post the text of the error message (if any...) this will help. Like I said, we're having a hard time replicating the issue ourselves here in Modville.

Yeah I find using Imgur.com is easy for posting pictures on the site. Like Cunha said just put it in the tags and they show up. Also, if all this would (god forbid) go away again, you still have all your photos.
