    Picture Hosting?

    Hey all,

Where do ya’ll post your pictures these days? After PhotoBucket went to hell, I started using IMGUR for hosting a few pictures here and there for sale threads and stuff… but I’ve been taking a lot more pictures at games and whatnot… I post the good ones up in the appropriate threads here.. but there’s no way im going to post 200 pictures in a thread.

What do you use for hosting full albums to share? I’d like people to have access to them all.

Also, has anyone else been having issues uploading pictures directly to MCB lately? Even when I’m trying to upload as few as five or so pictures, it works like im on dial-up and I’m not sure if that’s a me issue or website/server concern? (@PaintHappy)

    Thanks, folks!

      I use paintballcity.org

You can store any kind of pic there, not just paintball. The site is easy to use for uploading pics online and to forums as well.

I'll look into the upload issue. Yeah, either paintball city or flickr in the mean time.

Imgbb is what I've been using forever. Super easy to use. Just after uploading, choose "BBC code full linked" for the embed codes. Sometimes it throws in a link at the end of the images, just delete that.

I've recently been playing with building self hosted web apps on a Raspberry Pi which are served up to the public web using Cloudflare tunnels.

It was a lot to understand but now if I needed a photo hosting service I'd probably just build one myself using existing tooling like pigallery2 or a simple Ruby on Rails app.

As localized tooling gets stronger and simpler I wonder if we won't see a rebuke of the SASS options where we are the product...

You're in the US, right? I'd snag a N100 series or N300 series board real quick before the prices get astronomical. You'll have a lot of fun with it, and they blow the price/performance of the RPi out of the water. Especially for video since they support QSV.

Those N100 and N300's look cool. Wish I had fancier use cases.

My needs are super boring and my core concern is power consumption over raw performance specs so in that specific scenario a 8GB Pi 5 hits my needs.

I host my own nextcloud on my server (personal dropbox) which is what i use to share pictures, videos, files, installers, automated game server nightly backups so people can plop them in web maps or tools.
