    E-blade help

Working on my GX-5 eblade project again. I finially got a set of eyes to work for it (trilogy SF) and when I try to run it with the eyes on it is just a paint blender. Runs great with the eyes off. Even with the sensitivity way low it still just chops. I think it is just cycling too fast. How can I fix it?

    info: E2 board 1.10

Edit: solved! I had not seen the part about holding the red button inside the grip

Have you tried reverting the settings to a slower factory preset?

Buff_phroggie The E2 manual (https://pbmanuals.com/downloads/351_...Manual_ENG.pdf) shows how to access the set-up menu on page 47 and tells how to change the factory preset on page 68. To access the set-up menu with the advanced settings, you need to take the grip off and hold down the "set-up" button that's on the board, which is the small red button located just to the left of the Planet Eclipse logo on the board. Hope this helps

The holding the red button is what I was missing. I had seen the manual before, but missed the part about the red button

Here is the manual for an E2.

Like reflex said, it’s a good idea to reset the board to factory medium or fast (if everything is in generally good operating condition).

If you installed break beam eyes don’t forget to switch the breech sensor type setting like it says on page #63 (the default is always reflective).

      Some other troubleshooting possibilities:
-Maybe those eyes aren’t compatible with the board.
-Maybe something is wrong with those specific eyes. (Pinched wires, broken wires, corroded sensors, etc…)
-Eblades are super sensitive to low batteries, it creates all kinds of problems, a fresh 9-volt can do wonders.
