Buying paint online

Does anyone have any tips for buying paint online? I’ve heard that the transportation and storage is pretty important to keep it round in transit. Also, does anyone have any favorite brands? I’ve heard that graffiti might be not as good as it used to be

i knew some people buying paint from ANS gear. they said that they would bubble wrap it and secure it all in another box. they never had issues.

as for graffiti. i haven't shot that in years. good cold weather paint when last shot it

ANS does indeed add a layer of bubble wrap to their paint boxes.

ANS gear is my go to for buying paint online. But they are relatively close to me so they don’t have to ship very far. Depends on what gun you’re shooting and what climate. That being said I much prefer defy all around but I don’t know how available it is around the country

Totally random. Ive bought from Dicks, walmart, Amazon and ANSgear. Sometimes its egg shaped. Sometimes its lasers

Ans has been good to me. Ive bought 8-10 cases in the last couple years with one broken ball . Mostly cheap hk,it’s been fine.

If nothing local is good consistently then the online gamble works. ANS ships paint really well. Other online paint is sometimes great sometimes not so much

If you’re looking for woodsball/rec ball paint, I buy Draxxus Competition from Walmart. It’s less than $40/case (or it was earlier this year - inflation may have changed that). It’s great paint for roundness and shoots well thru blowbacks and spoolies alike. I’ve found the low end paint from ANS (GI 1 ⭐️ or HK Level 2) to be of lower quality (either lumpy or too brittle) for the same price.

I try to keep an eye on the weather over the week after I order. Heat waves are bad for paint sitting in a box truck.

ordering online you’re bound to have a bag or two with a broken ball. It’s not that big a deal - just empty the bag onto a towel, pick out the broken shells, and roll the rest of the paint in the towel to clean them off.

Oh interesting! Yes that’s what I’ll be using it for. Shoots straight enough? I’m going to be using it in phantoms, automags, cockers, trracers

I usually get the orange shell/orange fill competition paint because it’s easier for new players to trace their shots. It ships straight from the manufacturer (it’s always shipped from Ft Wayne, IN). They also sell their scenario paint for about the same price but I’ve always preferred the bright shell for visibility so I can’t speak to how good the scenario paint is.

Whatever you do, don’t get the Draxxus rec sport paint. It’s absolute trash.

Draxxus comp is typically very round, flies really well, and might have one bag in a case that has a broken ball. I think that’s par for the course with ordering paint online so it doesn’t bother me. I just open each box and inspect each bag before game day.

The shell can withstand Tippmann and Spyder blowbacks so your other markers should be fine. My spoolies shoot it just as well as the Tippmanns.
