    Dear americans:

Congratulations on winning the World Junior Hockey Cup. Big mistake bringing a trash can onto the ice with a 'hockey Canada' logo on it.

Next year our boys will be playing for keeps.

    See you then!

I love watching that tourney every year. Good fast hockey.

Gotta get my USA hockey jersey out for some pond hockey 🇺🇸

I honestly don't recall watching hockey that fast ever. Probably because the size and weight difference between them and their older counterparts in the NHL takes up more space, and these kids have just a little more room to fly and they know how to use it. Devon Levi is a super stud. Unreal. What a great tourney.

I'm just excited to watch arguably the best player in the draft and for that manner, the tourney to be playing for the Anaheim Ducks in Trevor Zegras. That kid is a stud.

I think both goalies that played were drafted by the same team

Not being into hockey personally, is this trash can seen in Canada as acceptable sports culture or is it Americans doing what we do?

apparently there is some magical backstory for the barrel, with a fancy analogy.

If the Canadians believe that, cool. If not, there will be a score to settle.

It was some great hockey and the Americans definitely came out to play and deserved the win. A few years ago the tourney was in Vancouver and I got cheap tickets to a game after Canada got knocked out. Sat basically at ice level and the speed and size of this kids is unbelievable! Definitely one of my favourite tournaments to watch. Silver is always the worst medal to win as Gold and Bronze are both won, silver is given on a loss. But our boys had a great tourney and should be proud!

Anytime Canadians lose a significant game there's a follow up narrative around how the game of hockey itself and Canada were disrespected.

I didn't get to watch, but am excited about next week's NHL liftoff. Have a fantasy draft tonight that I need to prep for

Be warned! Us Canadians are an adaptive bunch and have figure out how to play hockey on a variety of surfaces and not just ice!
