They are only allowed to be used in South Africa. And only during the month of March or September. And only on Sunday, from 11 to 11:09 am. It's the LORD'S DAY! I hear flights to Johannesburg are cheap this year.
They are as reliable as any other OG Spyder. Most of the parts will even swap over too. They have all of 5(?) o-rings. Are as good on gas as a classic car. Are as heavy as a classic car (comparative). An no amount of modifications will bring them up to spec with even the cheapest electro marker today.
They are blind, fully mechanical aside from the sear, run high pressure, and have a breach that is too big for modern paint.
Other than the looks, there is noting special about these. They are only "rare" because nobody wanted to keep one. Not that rare is the correct term, just more "not as popular/common".
The Mr2 was a little extra in the looks department, and had a neat charging handle.
