Ion QEV for autocockers work around

Idk if anyone’s ever tried an ion qev for their autococker. I got one and didn’t realize the size difference in the pneumatic hose. Anyways I shoved cocker pneumatic line into the ion pneumatic line and it seals fine. Tried it on my test marker and the trigger pull is crisp. Figured it’s better than spending $50 for a used eclipse or clippard QEV.

I figured they would work the same. I have one in my mech ion but efficiency sucks in it, not sure if I should remove it or leave it. It’s has the modded bolt too so no leaks when trigger is held in

Appreciate the recommendation. Brass is my favorite, might throw some on my projects. Timing with a QEV is kind of strange sometimes. My hinges are fine but slide frames I have issues with

Trying to use two qev on a slider without an oval timing slot is crazy.
Using just one on the closing side does speed that up quite a bit.
