    Duplixant/Biologics

Any thoughts on these? Tonis doc is recommending something like that but she's concerned enough about the side effect list that she was wondering if the hive mind had experience to share.

Not looking to ignore medical advice. But weighting options and appreciate the opinions of you all... Well most of you ... Even if you are hooligans.

Haven't a clue what "duplicant/biologics" could represent, except that it sounds ominous enough that I don't want to look it up.
I'm afraid it would be either invasion of the body snatchers or Japanese sex dolls.

I mean... That certainly sounds more interesting then what she tells me is 2 possible meds for allergies and to prevent pollip growth in her nose.

Jim we need you to bring back B flicks!

I understand allergies. Had them nasty growing up. Like 7 years old and want to die rather than live with them.
Then I moved from California to the East Coast, and they disappeared. Then I found paintball.
Now, I'm old enough that I deal with polyps at my other end.
      I still ain't gonna search duplicant/biologics.

To my understanding, which is limited, Biologicals are a form of medication, often a type of name brand drugs. Biosimilar drugs are closely related drugs that are generic but don't match the original biological 100 percent, or the biological was changed to keep the patent. I would assume the duplicant may be referring to biosmiliar drugs possibly? My limited knowledge is from work that dealt with drug funding and use of generic drugs, so nothing particular on the actual usefulness of the drugs.

Just reread what To I told me to ask about. Yes that's what my wife tells me I meant.

        I suck at this game

I also though it could have been in a movie. But the name was Replicant

          OK corrected my mistake.

More context. Wife had surgery to remove all polyps less than a year ago, is doing the allergy shots, and is already showing signs that at least 1 polyp is growing again.

I have no good input other than my dad had a nose hair trimmer that scared the hell out of me as a kid. Looked brutal but it could probably be made work if needed.

                Just saw this.

I have been on Dupixent for maybe 2.5 years for severe asthma as an add-on treatment and currently in the process of transitioning to Tezspire as Dupixent suddenly stopped working for me (nature of the beast for biologics). The alternative was continuing a big steroid overdose that would in the long term kill me and turn my bones to swiss cheese.

Biologics tend to have fairly benign side effects compared to more traditional forms of medication and severe reactions are pretty rare. The tech is pretty cool. The only real caveat with Dupixent is if the patient has Psoriasis it WILL make it worse.
