in my youth, i had helped the owner of a bar move out after it sold. They had to sell due to financial reasons and as such they couldn't pay me to help them move out. But, they were good to me over the years and i said id help anyway.
while we were cleaning out the basement, they gave me a complete NYFD outfit. Pants, suspenders, full length jacket, and shorter waist length jacket. I thought it was neat and said id take it.

man oh man, those pants and jacket were like a thermos. insulated to the max and like a thermos, they would keep a consistent internal temp no matter the external temp.
i would clear the driveway in the winter in socks and underwear (and the jacket and pants of course). ive never had anything quite like it.

id imagine this would be similar.
