    Fake news!

Ha ha. But really, it does look good. Looks like it has a comfortable grip.

Hey it was just as the title stated.... I can't help, that you only have a one track mind. 😋

Must be a tight bore to not get roll out at that angle.

Huh?... can't remember the bore size. But, I do remember it, something about rolling, being a concern. 😄

The pole is to close to the wall and isn’t vertical. It will be hard to spin around it in the current state.

Thanks all! This was a small project for an ageing family friend. At first, I only used 2 "Heavy Duty Bright Brass" brackets. But, I felt there was too much flexing. So, 2 became 4 and...It's solid now! The hardest parts were trying to source the NOS handrail to match the same style, already installed, throughout the house. Then the fun game of... How many layers of which color stain. Luckily, I had about a dozen random used cans to help choose. I opted for a fresh new can of "golden oak". I only applied 2 layers of polyurethane clear coat though. Y'all think that'll hold up? I'm a total amateur at this stuff!

Two should be fine. Did I miss what type of wood?

      I'm 99% sure, it's pine for the smaller rail(s).

      On to the next thing...

I'm gonna guess, I need a special tool/wrench for this. I must find a way to tighten up the main railing.
