This contest has my wife apologizing for cleaning the house today, and I had to throw out my tacquitos because she saw me take this photo. The world is upside down. Click image for larger version

Hmmm. technically it is an item in your refrigerator, but a canned item normally in a pantry... this is a grey area, doubt anyones gonna beat that PRIME date

I keep some old canned goods and regularly eat them. Totaly ok with this being outside the bounds. But it was fun to share.

As a non-grey area entry here is some mustard from June 18 2020 (I assume)

Yes but the alcohol is pre-aged by several years prior to purchase.

Full disclosure, this is currently in my mom’s fridge as I’ve yet to retake possession of it after moving a couple years ago.

Date is 02/04/08 and the can seems quite close to failing.

Man that's a fine year! not sure if it qualifies since it's in your moms fridge. Also a grey area. Others can chime in on if it qualifies or not.

So we are rewarding filthy habits now?

          Seems about right for MCB.
Wife and I don't like the idea of food that could make our daughters sick so we are pretty good about either eating it or getting rid of it.

Good luck to you filthy bastards

This really becomes a contest if round 2 consists of eating said items....

Best I've got is a couple years... but it's OPEN. These unopened non-perishables... what, do you just collect food like they're beanie babies?

My oldest food is my wedding cake. It's 7 years old at this point. We pieced it out 25 times on the night after our wedding. We are going to try to eat a slice every anniversary til our 25th, no need to take a picture as OpusX has it beat still.

Oldest thing in the freezer and I had to work to find it. Glad to see my wife’s hard work being used for something tho.
