I doubt this would have counted but I just dumped out a jar of something (would have needed dental records for an ID) in alcohol from the fridge. Some of the stuff looked like rocks while others looked like olives/cherries or strawberries. I really don't know when it was jarred. I'd say it was at least the early 2000s. Very possibly older.

Pedantic question:
Expired food, or oldest date in general? Expired and Best By are not technically the same thing- Expired is actually a health risk, Best By (Use By, etc) are just based on "this won't taste as good."

Found some walnuts in the freezer that are best before 14th of May 2010. Who knows how long they have been in there.
Why does my wife keep the nuts in freezer? That's a good question to which she doesn't have an answer!
LOL they look just a teeny bit freezerburned....
Tucked behind them is a bag of pine nuts from 2016 too. The pecans are recent 🤣

Found some items that should qualify

First is a bag of shredded cheddar cheese that I would assume is from 2017 and not 2007... was in the freezer and will be in a lasagna next week (I dont think one week more will change anything at this point)

Also found some Dijon style mustard from 2014 (my wife and I think it was opened before it expired...)

The last one is a souvenir from my wife's grandfather. He use to work for the Molson Brewery. This one was made for new year eve 1970 and there is still liquid inside (dont ask me to drink it). Too bad I did not took a picture of the bottle of Samiclaus from 2004 I drank last summer (16% abv beer)
