How many acres do you harvest on.
    My guess is 12202025
For example, It is estimated that one acre can produce nearly 750,000 oysters, which could filter between 15 and 40 million gallons of water daily

Sorry I just saw this. We have two leases, one is about 50 acres, the other is 9 or so. We also harvest kelp in the 50 acre lease in the winter.

This would simultaneously be a fun and awful job to have.

Hahaha that's a great synopsis. The best days are as good as can be, the bad days are cold, dangerous and exhausting.

So slight update, I haven't been able to test the marker. My landlady and her elderly mother moved into my duplex and while they're pretty cool they didn't appreciate it the last time I was firing a paintball marker on the property and I gotta respect that wish.

I'll see if I can't bring it to work after I return from FL but I'd be pleasantly surprised if I pull that off.

I totally spaced out yesterday, but after a little math this AM we can announce a winner! I had to add a few of our harvest to the spreadsheet we keep manually but the total for the year was:

One million, three hundred and seventy twi thousand and eighty oysters! 1,372,080.

This means our winner is StaticShocked please pm me your address so I can send you your prize when I return from Florida!

Thanks everyone for playing, until next year when I probably give away another tigershark!

Yes it is! Especially considering we have a 3-5 man staff depending on the time of year.
